The determination of one woman, helped to charter the  Upsilon Omicron Chapter at what was then called Northeast Missouri State University.  Lara Sodon was the Zeta who charted the Upsilon Omicron Chapter. 

The Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Upsilon Omicron Chapter was founded May 1st, 1994 on what is now the campus of Truman State University.  Since its founding, The Upsilon Omicron Chapter has become an intricate part of Truman State’s campus, as well as the Kirksville Community where the university is located.
